Does the Revs Institute really have the first Ferrari in America?
Answer
Yes, we have the first racing Ferrari in the States. Briggs Cunningham acquired a Ferrari 166 Spyder Corsa (serial number 016-1) in 1949. It has a 12-cylinder, 60 degree vee engine, single overhead camshaft, 1992 cc, 130 hp at 7000 rpm (140 hp with higher compression and alcohol fuel).
