How do I search the Revs Digital Library using the facets?

Answer

Once you have selected a collection, you can use the facets to narrow on the search terms you are interested in. If you are looking for images of a Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe from the 1965 12 Hours of Sebring, you can use the “Event” facet to select “12 Hours of Sebring” and the “Marque” and “Model” facets to select “Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe.”

  1. I'm not a librarian. What is a facet and please don't tell me it's where the water comes out! LOL

  2. Hello, Thank you for your question! A facet on the Revs Digital Library just refers to the different filters on the left-hand side of the screen, such as "Recently Added," "Year," "Event," "Venue," "Marque," "Model," and "Source." Facets allow users to narrow their search results using various pieces of structured information about the images. I hope that this helps, and please let us know if we can help further!
