I’m having trouble navigating the Revs Digital Library.

Answer

If you are experiencing trouble navigating the Revs Digital Library (RDL), we have created a step-by-step guide intended to show you how to search, find the image you are looking for, see all the descriptive information for that image (also known as metadata), and how to buy an image.

  1. Navigate to the upper right-hand search box and type in your search terms, for example: “12 Hours of Sebring,” and then hit Enter
  2. The next screen will be the results page of all the images that contain your search term “12 Hours of Sebring” somewhere in the metadata for that image
  3. There may be many pages of results depending on how general your search is. You can scroll down your screen and visually look for an image that suits your needs, or you can use the facets on the left-hand side of the screen to narrow your search. This would be most useful if you are looking for a specific person, marque, or model at the 12 Hours of Sebring. If you would like more information on the different ways to search the Revs Digital Library, please click here. If you have searched and not found what you are looking for, please click here for more tips and tricks for searching the RDL.
  4. Once you find the image you like, click on the image, and you will be brought to the individual image page. You can enlarge the image by clicking on the gray box in the upper right-hand corner of the image you see. You can zoom in and out on the image, rotate it, and make it full-size on your screen. If you would like to share this image on social media, please click here for more information. If you decide that you would like to purchase this image, just select from the two purchase options (non-commercial or commercial) and follow the instructions.
