Q. What is the shop?

Answer

The Revs Institute a living museum because the cars are functioning vehicles that are regularly exercised on public roads or raced on tracks. These cars are meant to be preserved, yet functional and driven, and it requires a remarkable team of expert technicians to make that possible.

The workshop team, with over 350 years of combined experience, are craftsmen in all aspects of historic car care. Together, they not only maintain the vehicles to remarkably high standards, they prepare the cars for the road or track, drive the vehicles, and plan for their long-term conservation.

Read an article on how and why we exercise the cars.

You can see the shop! The Docent Tour & Shop Walk-Thru is for those who wish to have a docent guide them around the museum with the addition of a walk-thru of the shop.  We allow 10 people per group to keep the tour at a more personal level.
